Anoushka Shankar is poised to make history on a global platform! The renowned sitar player has earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album for her solo album ‘Chapter II: How Dark It Is Before Dawn’ and Best Global Performance for her collaboration on ‘A Rock Somewhere’ with Jacob Collier and Varijashree Venugopal. A trailblazer as a composer and sitarist, Shankar masterfully blends genres ranging from classical and contemporary to acoustic and electronic. Daughter of the legendary sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar, Anoushka has now amassed a total of 11 GRAMMY nominations for her exceptional contribution to music.
For those unacquainted, Shankar received her first GRAMMY nomination in 2002 in the then-named World Music Category for her album ‘Live at Carnegie Hall,’ thereby becoming the first Indian woman to be nominated and the youngest-ever nominee in that category. In 2005, she became the first Indian musician to perform at the GRAMMYs and later served as Presenter for the Awards in 2016. She has since delivered multiple performances at the event, including one during the lockdown and another last year with Pakistan-origin artist Arooj Aftab. Over the years, Shankar has earned GRAMMY nominations for her solo albums, including Rise (2006), Traveller (2013), Traces of You (2015), Home (2016), Land of Gold (2017), Love Letters (2021), and Between Us… (2023).
Beyond the GRAMMY spotlight, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Anoushka Shankar. She celebrates 30 years of performing while continuing to redefine the boundaries of music. In addition, she will embark on a U.S. tour in March 2025, European tour in the summer, and an India tour in December 2025, supporting the release of her highly-anticipated third Chapter in the series.

Taapsee Pannu starrer Haseen Dillruba was a heady mixture of romance and crime that went onto impress the audiences when it was released on Netflix in 2021. The film also starred Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. This, obviously, led the makers to come up with a sequel titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which also became a rage on the OTT platform earlier this year. It topped the charts, just like its predecessor. Th film starred Sunny Kaushal in place of Rane, whose character dies in the first film.
After two successful films in the franchise, the makers Colour Yellow Productions are all set to bring the third film in the franchise. But there seems to be one major change this time around. Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the makers are considering releasing the third part in cinema halls.
A well-place industry source said, “The first two films in the Hasseen Dillruba franchise became so successful on OTT that various distributors have started asking the makers to release the third film in theatres. They also said that there is a lot of demand for the theatrical release of the third part of the Taapsee Pannu starrer. The makers are also now considering bringing the third Hasseen Dillruba film in the theatres.”
If the makers of Hasseen Dillruba franchise do opt for a theatrical release for the next film in the franchise, it will be a rare example of a franchise moving from OTT to theatres.

Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is all set to surprise his fans with his upcoming single titled ‘Don’, marking his first-ever collaboration with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The track is generating immense excitement, with a special voiceover from SRK himself, who is known for his iconic roles in Indian cinema.

Diljit took to Instagram to share a teaser for the song, featuring a powerful voiceover from Shah Rukh Khan. Following this, SRK delivers another iconic line from Don: “Tumhara mujh tak pahuchna mushkil hi nahin, mamumkin hai, kyuki dhool kitni bhi oonchi kyun na chali jaye, asmaan ko ganda nahin kar sakti.” The teaser ends with Diljit’s message: “Agar Sab Se Uper Tikna Hai Toh Maa Ki Duaa Chahiye ONE & ONLY KING @iamsrk Surprise Anytime Year 24.”
