Aamir Khan ADMITS being insecure about his height, speaks on battling fear of rejection: “I used to feel that what if people don’t accept me”

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has candidly addressed his insecurities about his height, revealing how it impacted him during the initial stages of his career. Standing at 5 feet, 5 inches, Aamir’s height was a source of concern for him when he entered the industry as a leading man in the late 1980s.

The actor spoke about this during a conversation with Nana Patekar on Zee Music Company’s YouTube channel. Responding to a question about whether he had ever experienced an inferiority complex about his height, Aamir admitted, “Yes, I did. I used to feel that what if people don’t accept me because of my height. This was my fear. But later, I realised that all of this does not matter at all. But at that time, some kind of insecurity creeps in.”
Battling Insecurities and Finding Confidence
This is not the first time Aamir has spoken about his initial struggles with confidence. In 2012, while promoting his film Talaash, he recalled being called ‘tingu’ (a colloquial term for someone short) and how such comments initially affected him. However, over time, the actor found solace in his craft and the connection he built with audiences.

“The things that stress us out in the beginning, we later realise that these things don’t matter at all. What is important is how honestly you are working and how your work can enchant people, and after that, everything else is unimportant,” Aamir remarked during his recent conversation with Patekar.

Aamir’s last appearance on the big screen was in Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), a remake of the Oscar-winning Forrest Gump. Although the film did not perform well at the box office, Aamir is gearing up for his next project, Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his critically acclaimed 2007 film Taare Zameen Par.

Singer Shaan, a building resident, confirmed the incident through his social media, expressing gratitude to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) for their swift response.

Timeline of the Incident
The fire was reported to the MFB at 12:57 am, and within minutes, a Level I fire alert was declared. Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and successfully brought the situation under control by 3:20 am. Authorities evacuated the building to ensure the safety of the residents.
Residents Rescued Amidst the Chaos
Firefighters managed to rescue nine individuals from the 15th floor, including one male and eight females, who were guided to safety via the staircase. Additionally, one woman was rescued from the second floor, while three individuals—two females and one male—were safely evacuated from the eighth floor.

He explained that the fire originated on the seventh floor, and he and his family escaped to the 15th floor before being rescued. “To cut a long horrible story short… we are absolutely fine… waiting to go back home once there is a clearer picture from the fire department,” the singer added.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are working to determine what led to the incident.

A Milestone in Varun Dhawan’s Career
The grand scale of Baby John’s release underscores Varun Dhawan’s growing clout as a global star. This is the actor’s most extensive overseas release, reflecting his immense popularity and the increasing demand for Bollywood films on international platforms.

Baby John, directed by Atlee and featuring music composed by Thaman S, has created a buzz with its action-packed narrative and high-octane performances. The film’s worldwide rollout ensures that audiences across the globe get to experience the thrill of this mass entertainer simultaneously
About Baby John
Speaking of the film, in Amazon Music’s ‘It Changed My Life’, Varun said, “Atlee’s world is filled with drama, action, romance, a lot of hero elevation, some bad guys, some tough guys, crazy aerial stunts, jumping into rivers, 100 feet drops, riding a bike in the streets of Kerala, and shooting a song with 1000 dancers. He usually has these big hero elevation songs with full high-octane energy, like how we have the song ‘Bandobast’.”

Directed by Kalees, the film is produced jointly by Cine1 Studios Production, A For Apple Studios and Jio Studios. Besides Varun, it also stars Jackkie Shorff, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Keerthy Suresh. In addition, the film also features a cameo of Salman Khan.

REVEALED: Salman Khan features as Agent Bhai Jaan in a ROCKING cameo in Baby John

The big Christmas entertainer, Baby John, was released today in cinemas. The film had generated excitement not just due to its mass element, Varun Dhawan’s casting and Atlee’s association but also because of Salman Khan’s cameo. Its glimpse was shown briefly in the trailer and it added to the excitement.

It has come to light that the superstar’s special appearance is quite rocking and would be loved by fans. Salman Khan is lovingly called Bhai Jaan by fans and in Baby John, his character is named Agent Bhai Jaan! This tribute will surely be appreciated by his millions of admirers across the world.

This is the second cameo by Salman Khan in less than two months. He was also seen in a special appearance Singham Again. However, his appearance in this multi-starrer Diwali release hardly lasted for a few seconds and hence, fans were dejected. But in Baby John, fans would have no complaints. He has enough screen space and he’s seen doing not just action but also comedy.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Baby John producer Murad Khetani explained how Salman Khan came on board, “Atlee informed me about the requirement for a star for a cameo. He asked if Salman sir could come on board. I assured him that I’d talk to him. I met Salman bhai; we sat and started chatting. It took me an hour to gather the courage to ask him. Finally, I told him ‘Apni picture mein Varun ke saath ek din ka cameo shoot karna hai’. He replied, ‘Yes, done. Bata dena kab karna hai’. So, while it took me an hour to gather the courage to ask him, he took less than 10 seconds to give his nod! That’s how Salman bhai is; large-hearted and humble.”

Two days from now, on December 27, Salman Khan will celebrate his birthday. On this momentous occasion, the teaser of his much awaited film Sikandar will be unveiled digitally. Meanwhile, Baby John will be running in cinemas in which the star is shown in a massy avatar, albeit in a cameo. Hence, Salman fans are in for a treat in this final week of 2024.
