Ranbir Kapoor backs supply chain startup Prozo: Bollywood star’s new investment sparks buzz in tech world

Actor-entrepreneur Ranbir Kapoor is making headlines once again—this time not for his blockbuster movies but for a bold investment move in the startup world. The Bollywood heartthrob has invested an undisclosed amount in Prozo, a tech-enabled, full-stack supply chain company, further expanding his business footprint.

The Gurugram-based startup announced the development revealing Kapoor’s latest venture into India’s growing backend infrastructure ecosystem. Already known for his involvement in ventures such as ARKS and Mumbai City FC, Ranbir’s investment in Prozo signals his growing interest in companies that fuel the backend engine of India’s booming consumer brands.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Ashvini Jakhar, a former Naval doctor and McKinsey consultant, Prozo has built an impressive footprint in the supply chain space. It serves a wide range of clients including B2B, D2C, and marketplace brands, offering warehousing, freight, and fulfilment solutions on a unified tech platform. Dr. Jakhar, the startup’s founder, shared his excitement, saying, “Ranbir brings creative depth and strategic thinking. His belief in reliable operations mirrors our ethos, and we’re excited to build with his support.”

Ranbir Kapoor, too, elaborated on why Prozo stood out to him as an investor, and shared, “Every brand today needs speed, consistency and adaptability…Prozo’s systems give brands that edge. I’ve seen how great execution builds trust—and Prozo is enabling that behind the scenes.”

This investment comes at a time when Prozo is looking to expand its warehousing network into new cities and offer tailored services to quick commerce brands and MSMEs across India. Interestingly, Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma also invested in Prozo back in June this year, joining the growing list of public figures tapping into the startup’s promising potential.

Meanwhile, on the entertainment front, Ranbir Kapoor is fully booked with high-profile projects. He’s currently busy filming Love & War, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, slated for release in the first half of 2026, alongside the much-awaited two-part epic Ramayana, with the first instalment expected to hit theatres during Diwali 2026. Kapoor also has Animal Park, the sequel to Animal, lined up with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, although active production on that project is reportedly on pause for now.

With this latest entrepreneurial step, Ranbir Kapoor continues to balance his stardom with sharp business acumen, proving yet again that he’s much more than just a leading man on screen.

EXCLUSIVE: Check out the ROCKING first look of Hrithik Roshan vs NTR in the War 2 dance number, ‘Janaabe Aali’

Yash Raj Films (YRF) has finally released the glimpse of the massively awaited Hrithik vs NTR dance off, ‘Janaabe Aali’! It is going to be an EPIC WAR on the dance floor as two of India’s best actors and dancers, Hrithik Roshan and NTR, take on each other in this battle of swag. The track is composed by Pritam Chakraborty, sung by Sachet Tandon and Saab Bhattacharya, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Blockbuster producer Aditya Chopra, who is known for disruptive thinking when it comes to mounting tentpoles of India for over 30 years now, is bringing back his ‘Kajra Re’ (Bunty Aur Babli; 2005) and Dhoom 3’s (2013) ‘Kamli’ music strategy for War 2’s ‘Janaabe Aali’. He has decided not to release the full song online to preserve the magic of experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime moment of seeing Hrithik and NTR dancing with and against each other, ONLY for the big screen.

YRF wants to bring people into theatres to watch War 2 and experience the magic of seeing Hrithik and NTR dancing together on the big screen, just as it is supposed to be consumed. Aditya Chopra had earlier preserved the best song of Bunty Aur Babli, ‘Kajre Re’, pre-release and people were blown away seeing it in theatres. He had also kept all the songs of Dhoom 3 away from online release and audiences went crazy to watch them in theatres. ‘Kamli’ exploded and went on to become a global chartbuster.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the blockbuster YRF Spy Universe’s War 2 also stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. The film is set to release on August 14 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. This will be the second exciting YRF film of the season after the romantic saga Saiyaara became the surprise blockbuster of the year.

Warina Hussain is now Hira Warina: Actress announces name change with a spiritual twist

Bollywood actress Warina Hussain, who made a striking debut in the 2018 romantic drama Loveyatri opposite Aayush Sharma, has officially changed her name. The actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that she will now be known as Hira Warina — a transformation she says is “rooted in numerology and guided by spirit.”

Sharing the update with her followers, the actress wrote, “HIRA WARINA – I’ve officially changed my name to Hira Warina. A decision rooted in numerology and guided by spirit. New chapter. Same essence. Just more aligned than ever. To those who’ve stayed close, your love means more than you know.” Adding a touch of her signature quirk, she signed off the post with: “But always, Yours truly, Alien.”

Ahead of the announcement Hira aka Warina officially returned to social media after a mysterious months-long hiatus that left fans wondering about her whereabouts. Her return, paired with the name change, suggests a personal reinvention and perhaps a professional comeback in the making.

Warina — now Hira — shot to fame with Loveyatri, produced by Salman Khan. Her elegant presence and natural charm garnered praise from audiences and industry insiders alike. Though she’s remained largely low-key since her debut, she made a memorable appearance in the hit item song “Munna Badnaam Hua” from Dabangg 3, further solidifying her screen appeal.

YRF’s Hrithik Roshan – Jr NTR starrer War 2 Certified UA16+ by CBFC; with runtime of 02 hours 53 minutes 24 seconds

In a major update for fans eagerly awaiting one of the biggest action spectacles of the year, Yash Raj Films’ WAR 2 has officially received its certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India. The highly anticipated action thriller has been awarded a UA16+ certificate, indicating that viewers under the age of 16 are advised to watch the film under parental guidance due to intense action sequences and thematic content.

Starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR Jr., and directed by Ayan Mukerji, WAR 2 is a continuation of the adrenaline-fueled spy universe that YRF has been steadily building with films like Pathaan, Tiger 3, and the original War.

The film has an officially certified runtime of 2 hours, 53 minutes, and 24 seconds, making it one of the lengthier entries in the YRF Spy Universe. This extended runtime suggests a packed narrative likely filled with high-stakes action, globetrotting set pieces, and the much-awaited face-off between Hrithik and NTR Jr., both of whom play pivotal roles in this cinematic universe.

The UA16+ rating is notable — while UA (Unrestricted Public Exhibition with Parental Guidance) is common, the added age-specific guidance indicates that WAR 2 may push the boundaries of stylized action and intense themes more than its predecessors. With Ayan Mukerji at the helm — known for his visually rich and emotionally layered storytelling — WAR 2 promises a fresh directorial vision combined with blockbuster-scale entertainment.

The film is expected to be a tentpole release for YRF and a major box office draw, especially given the pan-India appeal of its cast. With Hrithik reprising his role as the suave superspy Kabir and NTR Jr. entering the franchise in a highly anticipated role, WAR 2 is poised to be a cinematic showdown of epic proportions.
