Salman Khan shooting site intruder arrested after threatening remark: “Should I call Bishnoi?”

Salman Khan shooting site intruder arrested after threatening remark: “Should I call Bishnoi?”

A man was arrested on Tuesday for illegally entering the shooting site of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. When confronted, he reportedly asked, “Should I call Bishnoi?” The suspect has been taken to Shivaji Park police station for further questioning. This incident adds to a growing list of security concerns surrounding the actor, following multiple threats in recent months.

This incident comes amidst a recent rise in threats connected to Lawrence Bishnoi and his associates, who have previously targeted Salman Khan due to alleged grievances related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

Just last month, Salman Khan received a threat related to a song that allegedly links his name to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The threat was sent to Mumbai’s traffic control room, referencing a song that mentions both Salman Khan and Bishnoi. The message warned that the songwriter would face severe consequences within a month and said, “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should save them.”

A 32-year-old man named Bhikha Ram, also known as Vikram, was recently arrested by police in Karnataka’s Haveri in connection with previous threats to Salman Khan. Hailing from Jalore in Rajasthan, Bhikha Ram was later handed over to Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) for further investigation.

Salman Khan has been facing ongoing threats related to his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. The actor’s alleged role in the killing of two blackbucks during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain sparked outrage among the Bishnoi community, for whom the blackbuck is sacred. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, leader of a criminal group with ties to the community, has repeatedly demanded a public apology from the actor, warning that severe consequences await Salman and his father, Salim Khan, if the apology is not made. In 2022, Bishnoi reaffirmed that his community would not forgive Salman Khan unless he issues such an apology.

Pushpa 2: Midnight shows for the Allu Arjun starrer added in Mumbai, Delhi and other metros

Pushpa 2: Midnight shows for the Allu Arjun starrer added in Mumbai, Delhi and other metros

The anticipation for Pushpa 2: The Rule was generated right after the first film in the franchise Pushpa: The Rise released in December 2021. In the time to follow, the excitement kept growing each passing month, with new promotional materials adding to it. Hence, the Allu Arjun starrer was expected to open well. However, the response to the film, right from when its advance booking started, has been unprecedented.

The tickets for Pushpa 2 started selling like hot cakes. And this has now ensured another positive development for the film’s makers. It is now learnt that midnight shows (11:55 pm to 11:59 pm) of Pushpa 2 have been added in various cinema halls across Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Kolkata from today, despite it being a regular working Thursday.

This is indeed a major indication about the tremendous demand for the movie, which is directed by Sukumar. The initial reports for the film have also been positive. A couple of days back, Bollywood Hungama predicted that the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 is expected to open at Rs. 60 crores plus. This now looks more than likely for the Sukumar directorial.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles as Pushpa’s wife and enemy respectively.

EXCLUSIVE: GRAND trailer launch of Varun Dhawan’s Baby John on December 9

EXCLUSIVE: GRAND trailer launch of Varun Dhawan’s Baby John on December 9

The year 2024 hasn’t been good box office-wise wise but December is expected to make up for it. Pushpa 2 – The Rule has taken a historic opening and going by the early reactions, it has the potential to emerge as an all-time blockbuster. That’s not all. This month will also see the release of Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan. The film releases in just 20 days and from next week, the promotions of the film will begin in full force.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “The theatrical trailer launch of Baby John will be held on Monday, December 9 in Mumbai. It’ll be attended by lead actor Varun Dhawan along with Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, director Kalees and blockbuster producer Atlee. Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios and music director Thaman S are also expected to grace the event.”

The source added, “The teaser has given a glimpse of the world of the film while the song ‘Nain Matakka’ has made it clear that the film is not just an action-cum-emotional entertainer but also has fun, catchy numbers. Now, the trailer will throw light on the wholesome entertainment aspect of Baby John.”

Interestingly, Baby John’s extended trailer was unveiled to the exhibitors at the Big Cine Expo 2024 on September 30 this year and got a roaring response. Bollywood Hungama was exclusively present at the occasion and first-hand saw the response the trailer elicited. Atlee, Kalees and Murad Khetani were present at this trailer preview.

Produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Productions, Baby John releases in cinemas on December 25. Interestingly, it has the benefit of being the only release on Christmas. Hence, trade and exhibitors expect the film to work big time at the box office if word of mouth is positive.

Will Vikrant Massey shoot for Don 3 before or after the break?

Will Vikrant Massey shoot for Don 3 before or after the break?

Before Vikrant Massey takes that break, he may be shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 in which he plays the main antagonist. It is not clear at the moment if the 12th Fail actor would join Ranveer Singh in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 before or after his proposed sabbatical.

A friend of the actor spoke to this writer on the subject that the entertainment media has been obsessing over for 48 hours. “It is not exhaustion,” said the friend. “It is certainly not boredom, what has he got to be bored about? His career has just taken off, actually. Until recently, Vikrant was very annoyed about being cast as the second lead, or otherwise the male lead in female centric films. 12th Fail changed that.”

So, then what’s the reason for the sabbatical?

“It is some health issues which Vikrant has been ignoring for some time now,” said the friend. “Nothing serious. But nothing he can ignore either. The doctors have advised him to take some time off from his acting assignments. He will be away (from acting) for a year, or maybe a little more. That’s it.”

It may be mentioned that Shah Rukh Khan took a longish sabbatical from acting after Aanand L Rai’s Zero in 2018. He returned with Pathaan four years later. He never made any announcement about quitting.

Vikrant Massey may choose to retract his words. But he clearly announced he will be seen for the last time in 2025 before a time when he chooses to come back.

“Where was the need to make such an announcement?” wonders a female co-star of the actor. “We all take a break, a pause now and then. It doesn’t mean we need to go on social media to shout out a goodbye for the world to sing, ‘Nahin nahin jaana nahin abhi nahin kabhi nahin.’ Of course, we need to be told we are loved.”
