Collaborating with everyone in Spain on ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,’ directed by my dynamic and talented partner Luv Ranjan, was an amazing experience enhanced by their support. I remain committed to fostering cultural dialogue between our nations. Thank you to all who have been part of this journey.”

“Satyajit Ray has been my guru”: Shoojit Sircar speaks about legendary filmmaker’s influence on his work
National Awarded Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has time and again delivered some of the truly remarkable films in his career, showcasing his exceptional storytelling. His films inspire and present a whole new world to the audience. While the iconic filmmaker carries a great body of work, he is also a great admirer of Satyajit Ray and his work, considering Ray to be his guru. Sircar believes that his own films are heavily influenced by Ray’s cinematic legacy.
Recently, at a panel discussion at IFP, Shoojit Sircar said, “Satyajit Ray has been my guru and still I think his films are so much influence in my life and in my films also. Apart from that I have watched a lot of Oliver Stone films, Fellini, Buñuel (Luis Buñuel), Mrinal Sen, Ritwik Ghatak, there are many others. So, at that time I think those films didn’t have this kind of exhibition, this kind of distribution.”
“For example, if it was Mumbai and if it was a Ray film, it will be showing in maybe one in somewhere in town in one theatre. It never had a chance to go to many theatres. Things are different now, I mean there are many theatres to exhibit your films but at that time it was only, like I grew up in Delhi and it was only one theatre where I could see these kinds of films, wherever Bergman films or Buñuel films or Ray films. So I think these films were my influences,” he added.
On the work front, Shoojit Sircar is gearing up for his untitled next, which will be a theatrical release this year. His upcoming film is also a slice-of-life drama starring Abhishek Bachchan and is slated for release at the end of November.

Bigg Boss 18 EXCLUSIVE: Vivian DSena and Nyrraa Banerjee try to find solution for more ration as contestants go on hunger strike due to lack of food
Lack of food has once again become a bone of contention between Bigg Boss and his contestants as the latter have decided to go on hunger strike. After the jailed contestants of Bigg Boss 18 decided to choose freedom over ration, all the contestants have been facing scarcity of food which has resulted in them in taking this step. Considering that the matter has escalated to this extent, Vivian DSena and Nyrraa Banerjee have decided to come together to figure out a permanent solution in order to prevent any lack of ration in the future.
Amid all the conflicts, controversies, and drama, the game of Bigg Boss 18 has taken a new turn on Tuesday with the return of Tajinder and Hema from jail. While everyone is slowly losing their energy due to hunger strike, Vivian DSena and Nyrraa Banerjee have smartly decided to join hands to figure out a solution. The duo is currently coming together with multiple ideas in order to understand how the ration situation can be managed. The two contestants have suggested to come up with a system where they send two contestants to jail every time in order to maintain a satisfactory ration stock. However, they are yet to figure out the kind of system they would like to implement to choose the contestants who would go to jail. While this suggestion is yet to be put across to Bigg Boss, the latter too has not reacted to the ongoing strike.
On the other hand, Avinash Mishra has worked hard on making Dal Khichdi for everyone but as of now, none of them have broken the strike or have raided the kitchen for a meal or snack. Now it remains to be seen how Bigg Boss will react, and whether the master will accept the solutions given by Vivian and Nyrraa in order to protect their ration.

Was Saqib Saleem snubbed in Citadel: Honey Bunny trailer? Actor shares mysterious post after skipping launch
In an unexpected turn of events, actor Saqib Saleem, who was slated to be a part of the grand trailer launch for Citadel: Honey Bunny alongside Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, decided to skip the highly anticipated event. The actor’s absence at the launch, held today, raised eyebrows, and industry sources suggest the reason behind his decision lies in his diminished role in the trailer of the upcoming series.
Initially, Saqib was supposed to feature prominently in the trailer, but to his dismay, he appeared in just a few fleeting scenes. According to well-placed insiders, the makers of Citadel: Hiey Bunny chose to edit a significant portion of his role, leaving the same on the editing floor. This development reportedly took the actor by surprise, as he had expected to play a more crucial part in the series’ trailer narrative.
Following the perceived slight, Saqib took to Instagram, where he shared a cryptic post that many believe is a subtle dig at the streaming platform and the show’s creators. The post featured a picture of him with the caption, “Home alone n reading.” But what truly caught attention was the highlighted sentence in the accompanying image, which read: “Regardless of whether your circumstances are favourable or adverse, the important thing is to move through them graciously.”

Fans and industry watchers alike have interpreted this as a quiet but clear expression of Saqib’s feelings about his reduced role in the trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny. While the actor has not publicly commented on the matter, the timing of his post has led many to speculate about his frustration.
Saqib Saleem was expected to join the high-profile cast at the event, which celebrated the launch of the much-anticipated Indian adaptation of Citadel, but his absence, combined with the social media post, seems to point towards a deeper dissatisfaction. Whether this will prompt further developments or public clarification remains to be seen.
As the buzz around Citadel: Honey Bunny continues to build, Saqib’s next move will certainly be something to watch, especially if he chooses to address the issue directly.
