Disney Star, the official broadcaster of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 11, is set to dazzle fans with a star-studded Opening Day in Hyderabad. Two of Bollywood’s brightest stars, Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan, will grace the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on October 18, adding an electrifying touch of glamour and excitement to the event. The action kicks off with the Telugu Titans facing off against the Bengaluru Bulls at 8:00 PM, broadcast LIVE & exclusively on the Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar.

For the unversed, Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan are both starring in the highly anticipated film upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, just in time for the Diwali festivities. With the duo starring in this much-awaited third installment of the series, their presence at the PKL adds to the excitement and buzz of the Opening Day, bringing together entertainment and sports on a grand platform.

With Kartik Aaryan reprising the role of Rooh Baba from superhit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he will be seen with Triptii Dimri, the OG Manjulika, Vidya Balan and her partner in crime, Madhuri Dixit! Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday will be coming together for their first collaboration in an untitled film based on India’s top barrister C. Shankar Nair in a power-packed social drama. Joining this collaboration is also popular actor R. Madhavan in a pivotal character. Amid the flm garnering ample attention for its star cast, Dharma Productions of Karan Johar has dropped a major update about the film’s release on social media that has fueled up the excitement.

The film is expected to release next year in the first half as it hits cinema halls on the occasion of Holi, that is on March 14, 2025. Taking to social media, Dharma Movies have taken to its official Instagram handle to share this announcement with its social media fam along with a note revealing the details of the film. Captioning it with the tagline, “Ek Anokhi Kahaani, Ek Unsuna Sachh”, the film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. In the note, the makers have shared key details about the movie wherein it reads, “The untitled film on the shocking cover-up of a massacre that pushed India’s top barrister C. Sankaran Nair to fight an unprecedented battle against British Empire.” It added, “The film is inspired from real life events & adapted from the book “The Case That Shook The Empire” written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.”

Speaking of the film, it is adapted from a book based on the widely-reported trial – one of the longest in history, the book recognized some of the horrors being committed by the British in India. Through reports of court proceedings along with a nuanced portrait of a complicated nationalist who believed in his principles above all else, The Case That Shook the Empire reveals, for the very first time, the real details of the fateful case of Jallianwala Bagh massacre that marked the defining moment in India’s struggle for Independence.

Tamannaah Bhatia interrogated by ED over money laundering case linked to ‘HPZ Token’ App; no incriminating evidence found

Tamannaah Bhatia was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Guwahati on Thursday regarding a money laundering investigation tied to the HPZ Token mobile app. The app allegedly defrauded numerous investors by falsely promising Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining opportunities, according to official sources.

The ED recorded Tamannaah’s statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act at its Guwahati zonal office.

Sources revealed that Tamannaah Bhatia had received payments for making a “celebrity appearance” at an event hosted by the app company involved in the money laundering case. However, no “incriminating” evidence or charges have been brought against her.

Bhatia had been summoned earlier but postponed her appearance due to work commitments, ultimately choosing to comply with the summons on Thursday.

In the ongoing investigation, the Enforcement Directorate’s charge sheet, filed in March, names 299 entities as accused, including 76 entities under Chinese control. Among them, 10 directors are of Chinese origin, while two other entities are managed by foreign nationals.

The money laundering case originates from an FIR filed by the cyber-crimes unit of Kohima police, which charged several individuals under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. The accused are alleged to have deceived “gullible” investors by offering unrealistic returns through Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining.
