ZEE5 has announced the world digital premiere of Dharamveer 2 – Mukkam Post Thane- the recently released Marathi-language biographical political drama that continues the saga of Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. “The torchbearer of legacy,” as many call him, Dighe’s story is brought to life with the powerful performance of Prasad Oak alongside co-actor Kshitish Date, who portrays the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde. Directed by the visionary Pravin Tarde and produced by Zee Studios and Saahil Motion Arts, this highly anticipated sequel is streaming now on ZEE5.

Dharamveer 2 picks up where the first part left off, focusing on the pivotal moments that led Eknath Shinde to split from the Shiv Sena in 2022. The film delves into the challenges of political loyalty and ambition, exploring Shinde’s journey as Dighe’s heir and the challenges he faced as he navigated a shifting political landscape. With Mahesh Limaye’s striking cinematography and a compelling musical score, the sequel promises to deliver an engaging story that resonates with contemporary audiences while honouring the legacy of Anand Dighe.

Exactly a week is left for the release of the grand Diwali release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and as expected, the makers completed the Censor process in time.

Yesterday, that is, Thursday, October 24, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) handed over the censor certificate to the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The length of the film, as mentioned on the censor certificate, is 158.26 minutes. In other words, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is 2 hours 38 minutes and 26 seconds long.

The Examining Committee of the CBFC, thankfully, didn’t ask for any visual cuts. But they asked for three changes in the dialogues. The word ‘Ganga Jal’ was replaced with ‘Changa Jal’. In the subtitles, the makers inserted, “It’s just holy water” without mentioning the name of the river. In another scene, the pronunciation of the word ‘chotiya’ was rectified so that it didn’t sound like an abusive word. Then, the dialogue, ‘Supplement leke bhi…khada nahin hota’ was modified and changed to, ‘Support lekar bhi uth nahin pa raha hai’. In the subtitle, the dialogue was mentioned as, ‘He can’t even stand straight after taking support’. Lastly, a static disclaimer was added for the visuals that showed liquor consumption.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 brings back Kartik Aaryan and director Anees Bazmee after the very successful Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). Vidya Balan rocked the show in Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) and her comeback to the successful series has enhanced the excitement for the third part. The addition of Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri to the star cast has also made people pumped up for the horror comedy.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series and Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios. It will be released in cinemas on Friday, November 1, that is on the day of Diwali.

Last month, on the occasion of actor Akshay Kumar’s birthday, the actor announced his reunion with filmmaker Priyadarshan after 14 years. The duo, who have given us some of the most iconic Bollywood comedies like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) will be collaborating yet again for a horror comedy Bhoot Bangla. While not many details were revealed after this brief announcement, we now hear from sources that Wamiqa Gabbi is being considered for the role of the leading lady in the movie.

According to sources close to the development, Wamiqa Gabbi fits the bill for the role and is a talent to watch out for. “Wamiqa has impressed everyone with her work on the digital world, and is now all set to make it big on the theatrical medium with films like Baby John, followed by Bhooth Bangla. She has signed the dotted lines and has a solid role in Bhooth Bangla, which will evoke laughter among the cinema going audience,” revealed a source. If the reports hold true, then this will mark her first association with Akshay Kumar.

“Apart from Wamiqa, the film will feature two more female actors. It’s a comic caper with horror elements, and three girls in the same house, alongside a mad ensemble comprising of Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani among others. More casting of Bhooth Bangla is underway,” the source added.

For the unversed, Bhoot Bangla was announced on September 9 along with a motion poster which features Akshay Kumar attempting to lick a bowl of milk along with a black cat on his shoulder. It is set against an eerie backdrop to go with the horror comedy theme of the film. While the actor shared this on social media and expressed his happiness of reuniting with filmmaker Priyadarshan, he did not divulge much details on the film’s shoot schedule. Produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, the release date is yet to be announced.

The caption read that the teaser will soon be released while the film hits the theatres on December 20, 2024. Starring veteran actor Nana Patekar alongside Utkarsh Sharma, son of Anil Sharma who played Sunny Deol’s son in Gadar 2 and made his debut as a child actor in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.

Vanvaas aims to capture audiences with its powerful performances and compelling storyline. The film is particularly significant as it marks the first collaboration between Nana Patekar and Anil Sharma since their previous successful ventures. After his 2023 blockbuster Gadar 2, Anil Sharma is all set for Vanvaas.

Gadar 2 not only became one of the most successful films of 2023 but also one of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood. The film first in the franchise, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) also has the honour of being a historic blockbuster.

Recently, there were reports that the versatile Fatima Sana Shaikh and the ever-charming R. Madhavan would join forces for an exciting new project under Dharmatic Entertainment. Both actors, known for their impressive range and unique screen presence, will begin shooting for the film. As per the latest development on the project, the shoot will begin in the first week of November.

A source close revealed, “The shoot schedule for Fatima Sana Shaikh and R. Madhavan’s Dharmatic project is set to begin in the first week of November.” Reports suggest that the film is rumored to revolve around a quirky romance between an older man and a younger woman, offering a refreshing take on love stories.

The film marks Fatima’s second collaboration with Dharmatic Entertainment, after her role in the Netflix anthology ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’, produced by Karan Johar’s digital arm. For Madhavan, it is a return to romance after years, stirring memories of his iconic role in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein. His most recent role in Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl, saw him take on a darker, more intense character alongside Ajay Devgn.

Meanwhile, Fatima will soon appear in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino with Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, as well as in Ul Jalool Ishq with Naseeruddin Shah and Vijay Varma.

Actor Rhea Chakraborty has received significant relief from the Supreme Court, which upheld the Bombay High Court’s ruling to cancel the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) lookout circular issued against her and her family. This decision comes in the wake of the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Supreme Court Ruling

On Friday, the Supreme Court’s Bench criticized the CBI and the Maharashtra state government for challenging the Bombay High Court’s earlier decision, suggesting that the motives behind the actions were influenced by the high-profile status of the accused. The CBI had issued lookout circulars in 2020 against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, her father Lt. Colonel Indrajit Chakraborty, and her mother Sandhya Chakraborty, following an FIR filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s family in Patna. This FIR initiated the investigation into Rajput’s death and led to the case being transferred to the CBI.

Quashing of Lookout Circulars

The Bombay High Court previously quashed the lookout circulars, stating that there was insufficient reasoning behind their issuance. The Supreme Court reiterated this point, emphasizing that Rhea Chakraborty and her family are well-rooted in society and had cooperated with investigating agencies throughout the process. The Court’s remarks highlight the scrutiny that high-profile individuals often face in legal matters.

Additional Investigations

In the same year, Rhea Chakraborty and her family were also questioned in connection with an alleged money laundering case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The Enforcement Directorate’s investigation focused on Rhea’s financial dealings, income, and investments, stemming from allegations made by Rajput’s family that she had illegally transferred Rs 15 crores from his account, contributing to his mental distress and subsequent suicide.
