Just earlier today, Rohit Shetty sparked excitement by reminding fans about the return of Bajirao Singham. Readers would be aware that highly anticipated film of the cop universe – Singham Again is all set to enter theatres in Diwali this year. Ahead of the same, fans are eager to see a glimpse of what the film has in store for them in the trailer. The trailer of the Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor starrer action drama was unveiled on Monday amid much fanfare and the fans shared their immense excitement as the release date nears.

And let us tell you that Singham Returns includes everything the Singham franchise is famous for and more! The car turning sequences, the adrenaline pumping chase game between the cop and the villain, and power-packed entry scene of the famous cop Bajirao Singham. Inspired by the lessons of Ramayana, the film also shares a glimpse of Arjun Kapoor as a unique surprise in his menacing look as the antagonist Danger Lanka. The film further presents Tiger Shroff as the Laxman, an ardent follower of Singham, Ranveer Singh as Hanuman – a devotee of the cop, Akshay Kumar as Jatayu – the one who assists Shri Ram to help him in the return of Sita, and Shakti Shetty as Lady Singham.

Readers would also know that Singham Again has been making news for its unique set of cameos from some of the biggest Bollywood celebs since it is an integral film in the Rohit Shetty copverse. Apart from the return of Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar as Simmba and Sooryavanshi, who join hands with Singham in his war against injustice, we will also see the film introducing audiences to Shakti Shetty aka Lady Singham played by Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya who will mark their debut in this action universe with this entertainer.

With Kareena Kapoor Khan as Avni Bajirao Singham, the film will be releasing during Diwali this year and will clash at the box office with Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan starrer horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyya 3.

The celebrity status of Bollywood actors is determined not just through their movies and the success achieved in them. Another indicator that defines their stardom is the advertisements they are seen in. As far as the medium of television is concerned, we have come across Top 10 visible endorsers on TV as per TAM AdEx Celebrity Endorsement Report for January to June 2024.

According to the report, Akshay Kumar has been the most visible star in TV ads with an average visibility of 22 hours per day. He is followed by Shah Rukh Khan whose average visibility is quite close with 20 hours per day. Both have a percentage share of 5 % in total number of ads. The two are followed by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan with a visibility of 16 hours per day.

The biggest surprise in the list is that TV actor Rupali Ganguly (9.3 hours) is ahead of Bollywood star Ranveer Singh (9.1 hours). The list also contains the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan and Kiara Advani.

The only non-film name in the list is that of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He continues to rule the endorsement charts even years after he retired from international cricket. He is also ahead of the likes of Ranbir, Alia and Ranveer.

Fans who loved the chemistry between Shehzada Dhami and Samridhiii Shukla in the Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai were in for a shock when the character of Armaan Poddar played by the former was replaced overnight, after he was accused of misbehaving with the crew. Meanwhile, addressing the issue, Shehzada shared his side of story when he made an entry into Bigg Boss 18 as one of the contestants in the Salman Khan hosted reality show.

Shehzada Dhami opened up about the way he was asked to leave Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai overnight and mentioned that the team, especially the director often misbehaved and mistreated him. “To my surprise, I was suddenly given leave without notice. When I arrived, he publicly humiliated and berated me in front of the entire cast and crew of around 150 people.” Recalling an incident where he was asked to wear multiple bracelets during his initial sequences on the show, Dhami said, “On my first day of shooting as a lawyer, the director requested that I wear bracelets up to my wrist.”  While the instruction was given by the director, the actor discussed it with the creative head of the show as they both felt that the bracelet wouldn’t go well with the personality of a character like Armaan. “I remembered to remove the bracelets and gave them to the wardrobe team. When the director noticed that I was no longer wearing them, he became furious, berating me for removing them. I attempted to explain that the creative head had instructed me to do so, but my explanation was met with further shouting and aggression. I was taken aback by his unprofessional behaviour”.

Sharing a list of such incidents, Dhami added, “The following day, when I arrived on set, a senior female artist approached me and held my hand while asking me something. As I was about to leave for my shot, someone called me from behind. I was about to go but she tightened her grip.” The actor mentioned that it made the situation very awkward. However, when the director felt that Shehzada wasn’t listening, he didn’t even wait for him to clarify and ended up insulting the actor and shouting at him.

“I was the lead actor, portraying the role of an advocate, in a TV show that required me to work 15-hour shifts for six months without taking breaks for food or vacations. Like any dedicated actor, I poured my heart and soul into the project, working tirelessly to bring the show to success,” added Dhami.

Bollywood stars are seen not just in films. One can see then 24 X 7 in various advertisements as well. Among these ads, the ones that are shown on television grab maximum eyeballs. These ads help the product gain visibility and it also defines the stardom of actors. The products range from a biscuit to a luxury car. This was found in the TAM AdEx Celebrity Endorsement Report for January to June 2024. It said that Akshay was the most visible star in TV ads in this period with an average visibility of 22 hours per day.

By doing that, the Hera Pheri actor has left behind some of the other heavyweights from Bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and popular cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

But that’s not all for Akshay. He and his wife and actress are also named as the top celebrity couple by the same agency. The other two couples in this list include Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt.

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in filmmaker Mudassar Aziz’s comedy drama Khel Khel Mein, which released on August 15. The film also starred Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, among others.
