The series stars Raghav Juyal and Kritika Kamra, featuring an intriguing storyline where two estranged police officers, connected through a dead walkie-talkie, come together to solve a 15-year-old murder mystery. This unique premise promises to bring a fresh force to the entertainment industry.

Star-studded cast and gripping narrative
Alongside Raghav Juyal, the trailer also showcases Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa in significant roles. The narrative builds around an inactive phone that mysteriously comes to life every day at 11:11, adding an element of thrill to the drama. The trailer starts with a compelling voiceover stating, “Time is an illusion. Time conceals many mysteries,” setting the tone for the series.

Producer’s enthusiasm and audience expectations
Producer Karan Johar shared the trailer on his Instagram with a caption hinting at the show’s intriguing plot, “Can a glitch in time crack the unsolved crimes? Gyaarah Gyaarah premieres 9th August on ZEE5.” The post tagged the entire cast, indicating the collaborative effort behind this OTT thriller. This marks the second collaboration between Raghav Juyal, Karan Johar, and Guneet Monga Kapoor, following their recent blockbuster hit KILL.

Intriguing plot and time-travel element
Gyaarah Gyaarah is co-produced by Karan Johar, Guneet Monga Kapoor, Apoorva Mehta, and Achin Jain. The series narrates the story of two police officers from different eras, connected by a mysterious walkie-talkie that activates at 11:11 PM for 60 seconds. The senior detective Shaurya Anthwal, played by Dhairya Karwa, and the young officer Yug Arya, portrayed by Raghav Juyal, unravel cold cases, altering the past and present with each discovery. Kritika Kamra’s character, Vamika Rawat, links these eras, guiding Yug while being unaware of the extraordinary connection between him and Shaurya.

Actors reflect on their roles

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has leveled serious allegations against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claiming that the notorious criminal attempted to kill him and his family members. The shocking revelation came to light in the chargesheet filed by Mumbai police in connection with the firing incident at Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Bandra.

According to the 1,735-page chargesheet, Salman detailed the numerous threats he and his family have endured from Bishnoi and his gang over the years. The actor expressed his belief that the April 2024 shooting was a direct attempt on his life, orchestrated by the gangster.

According to a report by India Today, the statement by the actor read, “I heard a cracker-like sound. Then, at around 4.55 am, the police bodyguard said that two people on a bike had fired from a weapon at the Galaxy Apartment’s first floor balcony. There had been attempts to hurt me and my family prior to this as well. I have learnt that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the attack from social media. So, I believe that it is the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who have carried out the firing on my balcony.” 

It further read, “Earlier also, Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members in an interview talked about killing me and my relatives. So, I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi, with the help of his gang members, carried out the firing incident when my family members were sleeping inside and planning to kill me and my family members so they carried out the attack.”
Extensive Surveillance and Deadly Plans
The charge sheet unveiled a chilling plot by Bishnoi’s gang to eliminate Salman Khan. A dedicated team of around 70 individuals was tasked with monitoring the actor’s movements across Mumbai, his Panvel farmhouse, and even Goregaon Film City. The gang had meticulously planned the attack for several months, procuring lethal weapons, including AK-47s, AK-92s, M16 rifles, and a Turkish-made Zigana pistol – the same weapon used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
A Long-Standing Feud
The attempted murder of Salman Khan is believed to be a culmination of a longstanding rivalry between the actor and Lawrence Bishnoi. The gangster, known for his connections to organised crime, is believed to have a personal grudge against Khan.

The news of this prestigious honour was shared by the Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club on X, showcasing the coin’s picture. This is not the first time Shah Rukh Khan has been recognized by the museum; he also has a wax statue at the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris, further solidifying his status as an international icon.

Upcoming recognition at Locarno Film Festival

In addition to the gold coin, Shah Rukh Khan is set to receive the career achievement award at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. The festival, running from August 7 to August 17, will honour Khan for his outstanding career in Indian cinema, which includes more than 100 feature films spanning a multitude of genres. The award ceremony will take place on August 10 at the Piazza Grande open-air venue, followed by a screening of his film Devdas (2002) and a conversation with the actor on August 11.

Raghav Juyal is currently on a career high with his latest release Dharma Productions’ Kill receiving immense love, especially from action lovers. The film portrayed him in the role of a ruthless antagonist, alongside Lakshya playing the leading man. Now that Juyal has jumped onto his next project, once again with Dharma, titled Gyaarah Gyaarah alongside Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa was seen manifesting a long impending dream of working with Shah Rukh Khan at the trailer launch.

While there have been rumours about Raghav Juyal collaborating with many actors including Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan, the actor decided to issue a clarification wherein he also insisted that the rumour should be manifesting itself soon. He said, “Nahi aisa kuch nahi hai. Main chahta hoon main aisa kuch karun kaam aur main chahta hoon unke saath kuch ho, koi collaboration ho. But abhi aisa kuch nahi hai (There is nothing like that. I am hoping that I will get to work with him one day and I really wish I can do some work with him and some collaboration of sorts happens. However, there is nothing like that as of now).”

He further hoped that the rumour manifests itself into the universe as he added, “Thank you ki aapne baat chedi, abhi yeh failegi universe mein aur hoga kuch aisa (Thanks for bringing up this subject. Now may be the universe will listen and make it happen).”

Coming to his current show Gyaarah Gyaarah, it is a fantasy thriller series which is an official remake of the popular Korean show Signal. Produced by Sikhya Entertainment and Dharma Productions and directed by Umesh Bist, the show is an investigative thriller that talks about the butterfly effect as it is set across multiple timelines of three decades – 1990, 2001 and 2016. Featuring an ensemble cast, the show will start streaming on ZEE5 from August 9 onwards.
