Vicky Kaushal to team up with Karan Aujla for a Punjabi anthem in Bad Newz: Report

Vicky Kaushal to team up with Karan Aujla for a Punjabi anthem in Bad Newz: Report

Vicky Kaushal’s fans are in for a double treat! Not only will they see the actor on the big screen soon, but they can also expect him to break into a dance with a brand-new Punjabi number. Known for his infectious enthusiasm and love for Punjabi music, Kaushal has collaborated with singer Karan Aujla for a party track in the upcoming film Bad Newz. This marks Aujla’s much-anticipated Bollywood debut after several viral hits over the past few years.

As reported by Mid-day, videos of Vicky Kaushal grooving to Punjabi songs like Karan Aujla’s ‘Softly’ have previously gone viral on social media, leaving netizens wondering when he would appear in a peppy dance number next.  Bad Newz seems to answer their prayers, with the upcoming release of the party track featuring Kaushal and Aujla. This collaboration promises to be a highlight of the film, especially considering Kaushal’s reputation as an “OG Punjabi munda” (original Punjabi dude). For the same anthem, Karan has arrived in India.

Over the past two years, Karan Aujla’s catchy verses and rhythmic flow have made him a sensation. His songs like ‘Try Me’, ‘Softly’ and many more have caught the attention of music lovers. He was most recently seen in two collaborations with Badshah – ‘God Damn’ and ‘Players’.

The buzz around Bad Newz has been growing steadily since the trailer’s release last week. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film is a rom com starring a fresh trio: Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk. The trailer’s quirky premise – Dimri’s character discovering she’s pregnant with twins from two different fathers, played by Kaushal and Virk – has piqued audience curiosity. Bad Newz will explore the rare phenomenon of heteropaternal superfecundation, where twins are conceived from different fathers.

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is all set to hit theaters on July 19, 2024.

Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan, longtime friends and co-stars, have shared a remarkable journey in Bollywood. Recently, Juhi offered a glimpse into Shah Rukh Khan’s early days in Mumbai, starkly contrasting his superstardom today.

When Shah Rukh Khan Couldn’t Pay EMI
Speaking at an event, held by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry in the state, Juhi revealed that Shah Rukh Khan, upon arriving in Mumbai, didn’t have a permanent residence. He would travel from his hometown Delhi and seamlessly integrate with the film crew, often working double or triple shifts. Juhi mentioned his dedication during their projects together, including Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Dil Aashna Hai, and Deewana with Divya Bharti.

Juhi shared, “I remember Shah Rukh those days didn’t have a home in Mumbai. So he used to come from Delhi (his hometown). I don’t know where he stayed. He used to have tea with the unit (the film crew), eat with the unit, and blended in the unit seamlessly. He also did 2-3 shifts then.”

She further recalled, “He had a black Gypsy. But it was taken away one day because he couldn’t pay the EMI, or there was something. He came on our set very dejected. I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll have many more cars one day.’ And he still remembers that. Because it’s true. Look at him today.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s humble beginning Led to Stardom
Today, Shah Rukh Khan owns a fleet of luxury vehicles and resides in the iconic sea-facing bungalow, Mannat, in Bandra, Mumbai. Interestingly, Mannat even makes an appearance in the background of the song ‘Chaand Taare’ from their 1997 film Yes Boss.

Speaking of the professional front, while Shah Rukh Khan gears up for his upcoming film King, Juhi Chawla’s last screen appearance was in The Railway Men.
