Salman Khan to make a special appearance in Varun Dhawan starrer Baby John, reveal reports

The much-awaited Salman Khan and Atlee union is expected to happen very soon but in the way some audiences may have wanted. The Bollywood megastar and superstar filmmaker are reportedly joining hands for a brief period with Khan roped in for a special appearance in the highly anticipated action thriller Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan in the lead. Although details of the same are kept under wraps about the character Salman will be essaying, we hear that the superstar has given his nod.

Audiences will be excited to see them reunite on screen after coming together for films like Judwaa 2 and Antim: The Final Truth. According to a Peeping Moon report, we hear that Salman is yet to shoot for this film and will be sharing screen space with the SOTY actor in a mass action sequence which is expected to be quite extensive. Furthermore, the report asserts that the actor will be shooting for the said appearance in August, however, the schedule for the same depends on the weather conditions.

Last month, many reports suggested that Salman Khan is collaborating with the Jawan filmmaker for a two-hero project and names of several South superstars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have been doing the rounds. In fact, a trade source was quoted exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, saying, “Sun Pictures will be producing the film and they share a family-like bond with superstar Rajinikanth. Atlee on the other hand has been in touch with Salman Khan for the last two years. They are confident to get both Rajinikanth and Salman Khan on board”.

About Baby John

Also starring Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, and Jackie Shroff, Baby John is the official remake of the Thalapathy starrer Theri (2016) and is produced by Atlee. The film, directed by Kalee, is currently expected to complete its shoot schedule and while it was slated to release in June, it has now been pushed to a Christmas release on December 25.

Fawad Khan signs Bollywood film after 8 years opposite Vaani Kapoor; film to go on floors in September 2024 in London

For nearly eight years, Indian cinephiles have yearned for Fawad Khan’s return to the Hindi silver screen. The Pakistani heartthrob, known for his captivating charm and impressive acting chops, left a void in Bollywood after his last appearance in 2016 in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But fret no more, because according to Filmfare, Fawad Khan is poised for a highly anticipated comeback! The publication has revealed that Fawad Khan is reportedly set to star alongside Vaani Kapoor in a new film, marking his much-awaited return to Bollywood.

The report says that sources have confirmed that the film is gearing up for production soon, with London serving as the initial shooting location. While pre-production is locked in, the makers are keeping a tight lid on the rest of the project. This secrecy strategy suggests the producers are aware they have a casting coup on their hands and want to maximize the impact of the announcement.

“Fawad Khan has a massive international pull given his popularity amongst South Asians worldwide. He has also been a part of the Marvel cinematic universe. Details of this project are being kept under wraps and everyone is tight-lipped about it. The producers will announce this project just before it starts its filming schedule in the UK,” informs a trade source tells Bollywood Hungama. This international project is a Hindi language film that will be shot entirely in the UK. The film is being directed by Aarti Bagdi.

This yet-untitled film is Eastwood Studios’ first international collaboration. Eastwood Studios is a film company started by Vivek B Agrawal (ex-Reliance/Phantom) and Devang Dholakia. Vivek has previously produced acclaimed and cult films like Queen, Udta Punjab, Super 30 and Netflix’s first series in India, Sacred Games which became a global blockbuster on the platform.

This rom-com tells the story of how two broken people come together by a stroke of luck and end up helping each other unintentionally.. falling in love is an eventual byproduct of their electric connection. “Vaani Kapoor has been a part of big films and she was the perfect choice for this project, given how she has protected herself from being over-exposed. The makers wanted an incredibly fresh casting where Fawad falls in love with a gorgeous Indian girl and Vaani fit right in,” informs the source.

Fawad Khan’s absence from Bollywood films stemmed from political tensions between India and Pakistan in 2016. Following the Uri attack, several Pakistani actors, including Fawad, faced restrictions on working in India. This led to his departure from ongoing projects and left fans heartbroken.
