Veteran actor Anupam Kher’s office in Mumbai’s Veera Desai area was broken into by thieves on Wednesday night. The actor himself shared the news on his Instagram account on Thursday, detailing the incident and the stolen items.

According to Kher’s post, two thieves gained entry by breaking through two doors. They then stole the entire safe from the accounts department and a box containing the negative of a film produced by Kher’s company. Kher also mentioned in his post that the thieves likely couldn’t crack open the safe.

Anupam Kher’s staff promptly filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the police. Kher claims that CCTV footage captured the thieves leaving the office in an auto-rickshaw with the stolen items. The police have reportedly assured the actor of a swift investigation and the apprehension of the culprits.

Kher’s post on Instagram garnered concern from his fans in the comments section. Many expressed their hope for a swift recovery of the stolen items.  Anupam Kher is known for his regular social media interactions with fans, often sharing glimpses of his daily life and anecdotes. His last film appearance was in Chhota Bheem and The Curse of Damyaan.

Speaking of the film, it was officially launched on Thursday in Hyderabad which was graced by the presence of both Sunny Deol and Saiyami Kher. The event marked the beginning of what is expected to be a thrilling production journey, with shooting set to commence on June 22, 2024.  Produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with the People Media Factory, the movie boasts of an extensive team that comprises of composer S Thaman who will be scoring the music, Rishi Punjabi as the cinematographer, and Avinash Kolla as the art director.

In the past, many actors have openly admitted to the existence of casting couch despite some denying it. Among them was Isha Koppikar who has opened up experiencing the same in the past. In an interview with NDTV India, Isha Koppikar recalled the same and said, “I was 18 when a secretary and an actor approached me for casting couch. They told me that to get work, you have to be ‘friendly’ with actors. I am very friendly, but what does ‘friendly’ mean? I am so friendly that Ekta Kapoor once told me to have some attitude.”

A couple of years ago, Isha Koppikar had opened up about how a ‘hero’ had invited her to meet him along without her staff. Sharing the incident yet again in this interview, Isha added, “When I was 23, one actor asked me to meet him alone, without my driver or anyone else, because there were rumours about him being involved with other actresses. He said, ‘There are already controversies about me, and the staff spreads rumours.’ But I refused and told him that I couldn’t come alone. He was an A-list actor from the Hindi film industry.”

While Don 3 is already in works, SRK has decided to not be a part of it. However, Farhan has asserted that fans need not be disappointed as he has dropped a major hint indicating that he would be working with Badshah in the future.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Farhan seems to have raised the hopes of fans who were not happy about Shah Rukh Khan quitting the Don franchise. Agreeing that a collaboration is definitely on the cards, Akhtar said, “Yeah, absolutely yeah. We’ll find something that we want to work on together, and I’m sure we will.” He continued, “You just have to find something that you can connect on with somebody,” and assured fans by adding, “100 percent.”

Farhan Akhtar recently celebrated 20 years of his second directorial Lakshya starring Hrithik Roshan. The filmmaker-actor, who dons multiple roles with ease, is said to have started work on the ambitious Don 3 as the expectations are riding high on the movie. With Ranveer Singh donning this hat for the first time, and with Kiara Advani being roped in as the leading lady, this will also mark their first collaboration on screen.

Besides this, Farhan Akhtar also has the highly anticipated Jee Le Zaraa. Although the film was announced three years ago in 2021, the film’s schedule has been pushed multiple times. Featuring a female-led cast of Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, it is expected to be a road-trip drama but due to dates co-ordination, the film has not yet been able to take off.
