Sonam Kapoor, the last word for fashion in India, is heading to Paris to attend Dior’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter Show set to take place on June 24. Sonam is the only Indian celebrity invited to this prestigious event that will attract the biggest names in fashion worldwide. Sonam, widely regarded by the media as a global fashion icon and India’s cultural ambassador to the West, will witness the super luxury fashion house, Dior, unveil its latest couture masterpieces.

Sonam has captivated global audiences with her chic appearances at marquee international events like Paris Fashion Week, King Charles’ Coronation, the India-UK reception hosted by UK PM Rishi Sunak and the Cannes Film Festival, where she was the first Indian actress to grace the French Riviera. She has also become the sole Indian actor to be on the South Asia Acquisition Committee of the prestigious Tate Modern Museum.

At many major global fashion events, Sonam has made it a point to represent India and the incredible Indian craftsmanship. She has single-handedly brought fashion into focus in India. Recently, according to a global fashion report, Sonam was amongst the list of celebrities like Zendaya, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Blackpink, BTS, etc who had the highest impact on luxury fashion brands in 2023!

On the work front, Sonam is gearing up for two tent pole projects, details of which are set to be announced in the coming months.

Even before captivating audiences on the silver screen in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year 2, Tara Sutaria had already established herself as a talented vocalist. Trained in the western classical music since the young age of seven, Tara had carved a path for herself in the world of musical theatre and opera. She even lent her voice to films and commercials, showcasing her versatility as an artist.

A recent social media post reignited the flame of her musical past. Tara shared a throwback video of a captivating operatic performance with The Bombay Chamber Orchestra at the 2016 reopening of Liberty Cinema in Mumbai. The video, featuring her rendition of the second verse of “Ave Maria,” garnered praise from fans and fellow artists alike.

Capitalizing on World Music Day, News18 spoke to Tara, who delved into her enduring love for live singing and her dream of returning to the stage. “I’m absolutely going to do that,” she declared, her voice filled with determination. “At the beginning of this year, I resolved to get back to music. It’s something I truly miss, and not doing it would leave a void.”

Mumbai music lovers can rejoice, as Tara revealed, “I’ve begun planning my own concerts again. I’m collaborating with incredible musicians from across the country to make this first concert in years truly special. The feedback has been phenomenal, and I can assure you it’s going to be a big one!”

Meanwhile, Tara Sutaria was last seen in Apoorva on Disney+ Hotstar. She is yet to announce her next project.

Veteran actor Annu Kapoor is currently making headlines for his controversial upcoming film Hamare Baarah. Despite the film facing criticism before the release, the actor remains unfazed. The film is set to hit theatres nationwide on June 21. After the film received a green signal from the court, Annu Kapoor held a press conference with his entire team. During the same, he refused to recognize actress and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MP Kangana Ranaut.

During the press conference for Hamare Baarah, Annu Kapoor was asked about the ‘slap incident’ involving Kangana Ranaut, to which he claimed that he doesn’t know anyone of this name. He said, “Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?”

At this point, a media person informed him that Kangana recently won an election from Mandi and is now a newly elected MP. To this, Annu Kapoor gave a shocking reaction, saying, “Oh, she has become that too.” However, he stood by the actress and extended his support on the slap incident. A video of this press conference is also going viral on social media, sparking a wave of reactions from fans and critics alike.

For the unversed, Kangana was involved in a disturbing incident at Chandigarh airport. She was reportedly slapped by a CISF constable during a security check. Ranaut was on her way to Delhi for a meeting when the incident occurred.

Coming back to the film, Hamare Baarah’s release was halted. However, the Bombay High Court has cleared the way for the release. The court dismissed petitions challenging the movie, stating it found nothing objectionable in the film’s content that could be seen as offensive to the Muslim community or the Quran.
