Fever FM has come up with an intriguing celebration of India’s best podcasters in partnership with HT Smart Cast, the podcasting arm of HT Media Ltd. This landmark occasion will unite India’s foremost podcasters, celebrities, experts, and industry leaders to celebrate and elevate the modern audio medium.

Taking place on May 30 in Mumbai, ‘Podmasters Conclave and Awards’ will feature 35 award categories, meticulously designed to honor the finest in podcasting. The winners have been chosen from over 240 nominations and have garnered more than 30,000 votes, reflecting the immense popularity and impact of their work.

A distinguished panel of 12 judges will preside over the awards, including Sonal Kalra, Chief Managing Editor of HT; Aditya Kuber, Co-founder and CEO of Ideabrew Studio; Roshan Abbas, Founder of Kommune; Mantra Mugdh, Director of MnM Talkies; Kavita Rajwade, Co-founder of IVM Podcasts; and Varun Duggirala, Co-founder and CEO of EMoMee.

“Podcasting in India has long been seen as nascent. We decided to take action and drive its evolution. The PodMasters Conclave & Awards is our bold step to elevate Indian podcasting to an international level. By bringing together the pioneers and emerging talent of Indian podcasting, we aim to celebrate their contributions and shape the future voices of this dynamic medium,” added, Ramesh Menon, CEO, Fever Network.

Whereas Nikhil Taneja, Co-Founder & Chief, Yuvaa, further stated, “I started my career at HT as a journalist, so this is a full circle moment for me to be nominated for multiple awards at the HT Smartcast Podmasters Awards. Win or lose, I’m so grateful that my series ‘Be a Man, Yaar!’ has been recognised by the jury and the fans, and I hope that Yuvaa is able to have many more conversations that try to make the world a kinder place.”

Navya Naveli says on roping with the show, “So excited to be join the initiative taken by HT Smartcast to uplift the Indian Podcasting Universe. As a podcaster myself, I stay very excited about this evolving space and hosting a podcast of my own What The Hell, Nayva! gives me an extra kick to be vocal about my thoughts.”

The host of Untrigrred Podcast said, “At the end of the day, it’s just us 4 friends having fun and if in the process we get to make other people laugh and be at the awards, we can’t complain.”

Adding star power to the event, several prominent celebrities will be in attendance, such as Cyrus Broacha, Raj Shamani, Zakir Khan, Neha Dhupia, Aakash Chopra, Jackie Shroff and Jimmy Shergill.

This celebration aims to acknowledge the exceptional contributions of those who have transformed the podcasting landscape.

In a significant milestone, Deepika Padukone has been recognized as the “Most Viewed Indian Stars of the Last Decade” by IMDb, based on page views from hundreds of millions of IMDb customers and fans worldwide. It is interesting to note that the list of 100 stars includes actors from the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries and Deepika, leads it followed by Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Irrfan Khan and other notable names from across industries.

This announcement comes as IMDb revealed its Top 100 Most Viewed Indian Stars of the Last Decade list, which considers data from January 2014 through April 2024. Deepika Padukone’s consistent popularity has cemented her position at the top of this prestigious list, underscoring her widespread appeal and influence in the entertainment industry.

Deepika Padukone, who made her debut in the Hindi film industry in 2007 opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbuster Om Shanti Om, has had a remarkable career spanning almost two decades. Her filmography is studded with several major hits, including Cocktail, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Piku, Chennai Express, Pathaan, Jawaan and Padmaavat among many others. In 2017, she made her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, starring alongside Vin Diesel, further cementing herself as a Global star her last three films have marked an unprecedented feat with her sitting on Rs. 2550+ crores global box office numbers, for any Indian actress.
