Priyadarshan is gearing up for a busy period. After delivering the social satire Corona Papers in April 2023, the veteran director has a plethora of projects brewing, with two Hindi films and a potential Malayalam thriller in the pipeline. While it is known that he is working with Akshay Kumar, he is also rolling another Hindi project this time with Saif Ali Khan.

The buzz suggests a thrilling narrative with Khan playing a blind man. The actor has reportedly shown interest in the role, and if all goes according to plan, Priyadarshan will begin filming with Khan in July and August with the 40-day start-to-finish schedule. According to a report in Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Over the period of time, Priyadarshan has mastered the art of making thrillers in the Malayalam Film Industry and is now looking to make one with Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The talks are on and in a very nascent stage at the moment.”

The source added, “The script is ready and it’s all about getting the star cast and production house in place. We will have a clearer picture about the outcome of this film in a fortnight, as things are in a very early stage at the moment.”

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan has an array of projects including Devara: Part 1 with Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, Jewel Thief with Jaideep Ahlawat and Click Shankar with Balaji Mohan.

The sudden demise of director-screenwriter Sangeeth Sivan at the age of 65 has sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry. According to PTI, he passed away on Wednesday after suffering a cardiac arrest, as confirmed by his cinematographer-brother, Santosh Sivan. Sivan, known for his notable contributions to Bollywood with films like Kya Kool Hain Hum and Apna Sapna Money Money, leaves behind a legacy cherished by many.

Shortly after the news broke, numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Sunny Deol, Hansal Mehta, Riteish Deshmukh, and Ektaa R Kapoor, took to social media to express their heartfelt tributes. Sunny Deol, who collaborated with Sivan in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, shared poignant memories, stating, “Shocked to hear about the passing away of my dear friend @sangeethsivan, can’t believe that you are no longer amongst us, but you will always be with us in our hearts and memories. Om Shanti my friend, may your family get the strength to overcome your loss.”

Gandhi director Hansal Mehta echoed the sentiments, expressing his disbelief with a simple yet poignant tweet: “What??? This is terrible news.” Meanwhile, Ektaa R Kapoor shared a photo of the veteran director, paying her respects with a solemn “RIP sir.”

This marks the first-ever collaboration between Khan and Mandanna, and sources suggest it was a deliberate choice by producer Sajid Nadiadwala to create a fresh pairing. According to the reports, the script reportedly offers a well-written role for Mandanna, positioning her as a crucial catalyst in the film’s central conflict.

This reunion between Khan and Nadiadwala is sure to excite fans. The duo has delivered several blockbuster hits in the past, including Kick, Judwaa, and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Sikandar also signifies Murugadoss’s return to Hindi cinema after an eight-year hiatus following his 2016 film Akira. The makers are targeting the Eid 2025 release for the film.
