Police suggests that former TMKOC actor Gurucharan Singh may have planned his own disappearance: Report
The disappearance of Gurucharan Singh, the actor who portrayed the beloved character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has taken a mysterious turn. After being missing for over 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks), News 18 Showsha report suggests that the actor may have orchestrated his own vanishing act.
Police sources in Delhi told the publication, “He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi.”
Gurucharan Singh, aged 50, was last seen on April 22, and his father filed a missing complaint four days later, stating, “My son Gurucharan Singh, aged 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home, and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”
The actor’s disappearance has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with his co-stars and the show’s producer expressing concern and disbelief. As the investigation continues, the possibility of Gurucharan Singh orchestrating his own disappearance raises more questions than answers. The authorities are now faced with the daunting task of unraveling the mystery behind his actions and determining his whereabouts. The case has gripped the nation, leaving fans and colleagues of the beloved actor anxiously awaiting updates and hoping for his safe return.

After Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff to star together in another film
Just last month, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starred together in filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s action saga Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh’s Pooja Entertainment, it bore no resemblance to the same producers’ 1998 comedy of the same name, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in titular roles.
The makers promoted and marketed the film well. But unfortunately, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan just couldn’t click at the box office.
This was the first time that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff appeared together in the same film. However, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was definitely not the last film where the two would appear together. In fact, the next film in which they would be seen together will also see them play men in uniform, just like BMCM.
Akshay and Tiger are a part of the ensemble cast of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the third film in the Singham franchise and the next film in the filmmaker’s cop universe after Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba and Sooryavanshi.
Akshay was always a part of Singham Again as Sooryavanshi. It is a norm now for all three characters – Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi – to unite in all the cop dramas of Shetty. And last year, it was revealed that Tiger Shroff would be an additional cast member in Singham Again and that he would be playing an ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) named Satya.
Interestingly, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan clashed with Maidaan at the box office. The main lead of the latter Ajay Devgn will be Akshay and Tiger’s co-star this time in Singham Again.
We don’t know whether Akshay and Tiger would share the screen in Singham Again. In case Bade Miyan Chote Miyan would have been a major success, the chances of the same would have been higher.

Ajay Devgn and NH Studioz join hands for Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha
NH Studioz and Ajay Devgn continue their partnership with their 11th film together, titled Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. This collaboration marks a long-standing relationship that began way back in 1992 with the movie Jigar.
Shreyans Hirawat, representing NH Studioz, expressed his excitement about the project. He said, “We will be releasing our 11th collaboration with Ajay sir this year and this is a very special film. Ajay and Tabu will weave magic on screen with a mature love story and the film is being directed by none other than the critically acclaimed, celebrated director, Neeraj Pandey.”
Hirawat further revealed that Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha blends romance and thriller elements. The film’s narrative unfolds over 23 years, spanning from 2000 to 2023. “The movie promises to offer a unique combination of a thriller and portrayal of love’s journey, a heartfelt portrayal of mature love and companionship on the big screen,” Hirawat added.
Director Neeraj Pandey also chimed in, sharing his enthusiasm for exploring a love story beyond the physical. “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha seeks to explore the depths of a love that transcends mere physicality and dives into the intricacies of the human psyche. This storyline remains largely uncharted in Bollywood,” remarked Neeraj Pandey.
Produced by Shital Bhatia, Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), and Sangeeta Ahir, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is set to hit theaters on July 5th.

Harry Potter star Tom Felton joins Pratik Gandhi & Hansal Mehta’s Gandhi, international cast announced
Applause Entertainment’s highly anticipated series Gandhi is currently filming under the direction of filmmaker Hansal Mehta. This pivotal role is entrusted to the immensely talented Pratik Gandhi. This epic period drama promises to be a riveting portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi’s life and perjuangan (Indonesian for struggle). The excitement builds as the makers unveil their impressive international cast. A diverse group of talented actors has been assembled to bring pivotal characters to life. Leading the charge is none other than Tom Felton, globally recognized for his iconic role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise.
Alongside Felton, the series boasts a constellation of stars. Actresses Libby Mai and Molly Wright will bring their talents to the screen, along with actors Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon.
Sameer Nair, Managing Director, Applause Entertainment, “We are excited to bring together an exceptional ensemble cast from across the globe, each adding their own unique brilliance to this monumental tale. With Hansal Mehta at the helm, and the incomparable Pratik Gandhi embodying the spirit of Gandhi, we aim to propel our Indian series onto the global stage with resounding impact.”
Director Hansal Mehta, “Working with an exceptionally talented cast has been nothing but a privilege. The casting of some exceptional international actors to our ensemble is even more exciting as we prepare to take our labour of love to audiences worldwide. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s story, particularly his more formative years spent in London and South Africa, is a story for our times, an untouched but fertile tale of a young man who goes on a voyage of self-discovery, not knowing the impact he’d have on history and on our collective consciousness. I feel truly honoured to have gotten the opportunity to bring this epic tale to life.”
Tom Felton. “I’m excited to be part of the journey of telling the story of Gandhi’s early years in London. It’s an important aspect of history that hasn’t been told on screen before, and to be working with Hansal & Pratik is an honour and pleasure.”
“We’re not trying to deify Gandhi, we see his story as a human story,” Mehta told Variety. “The biggest learning from all that is, however great the man is, you treat him like a human being first. And look at the person with his flaws… and you build that character. Shooting in the long form allows you to explore that person with almost 360 degrees. And from that, as an audience, you derive something that is connected to your own life. We treat him as a character, not as God, nor as a demon. Either you make him into a deity or make him a demon, we’re not doing that,” he said.
Gandhi is based on the renowned works of historian Ramchandra Guha, specifically “Gandhi Before India” and “Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World, 1914-1948.” The first season, comprised of eight hour-long episodes, will delve into the first 45 years of Gandhi’s life. Subsequent seasons will explore the remaining chapters of his extraordinary journey.
Filming for season 1 is expected to wrap up in July 2024, with a streaming release slated for early 2025. While the specific platform remains undecided, initial discussions have been very promising. The series’ in-depth exploration across multiple seasons promises a comprehensive and captivating portrayal of Gandhi’s journey.

Vaani Kapoor to headline Badtameez Gill; Aparshakti Khurana, Paresh Rawal join the cast

Aparshakti Khurrana will portray Kapoor’s brother in the film, while veteran actor Paresh Rawal will play her father. The movie’s plot unfolds across two locations: Bareilly, a city in northern India, and London. Navjot Gulati, known for his writing credits in films like Running Shaadi, Ginny Weds Sunny, and directing credits including Jai Mummy Di and the upcoming Pooja Meri Jaan, will be at the helm of the project.
The production of the film will be a collaborative effort between Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films, Saga Films Ltd, and Vinay Aggarwal. The coming-of-age story set across contrasting locations like Bareilly and London further piques the audience’s interest.
Nickky Bhagnani and Viicky Bhagnani said, “Vaani Kapoor is headlining our ambitious project Badtameez Gill that went on floors this week. “Vaani is a top-notch actress and she hasn’t been seen in out-and-out comedies and family entertainers. We feel she will do a brilliant job in this genre. Vaani is also this person in real life. So, when we met her, we knew we had found our lead. She will light up the screen with her presence and hopefully, we will entertain a lot of people with our film.”
